![]() To begin each Trial, you must find a stone monument on each non boss floor which will be isolated in a map with no enemies. A standard platformer where dashes are available. Dungreed is a 2D side-scrolling action Rogue-lite game developed by Team Horay. ![]() When an adventurer is slain within the dungeon, his items are lost and he is sent back to town.ĭon’t worry too much though. Plot Explore a continuously evolving dungeon to prevent your town from being destroyed Fight enemies using weapons and magic to defeat the evil in the dungeon Game support Dungreed Wiki is focused on creating the definitive guide to Dungreed. You can permanently increase your stats through training and become even stronger with various items and food found in the dungeon. You don’t have any designated “break rooms” in this game, you’re in it and you’re moving all the time. If you’re holding still you’re probably thinking about an infection, and if you’re not you’re skittering around at an absurd pace. ![]() Upgrades drop randomly and contribute to the erratic nature of the game, as they can be either standard upgrades or “infections”, which either debuff you if you take them, or make the enemies stronger if you leave them. The game has more relation to shmups then twin stick shooters, and it’s more about reacting to bullets and enemies with mobility options, rather then carefully moving through a maze of slow moving hurtboxes. Your basic shot is a tooth you fire out of your dental gum head, that you then retract with a separate button, You have no fewer then three mobility options (wall running, dodge roll, and jumping, the latter of which is not what you think, we’ll get there), and you and the bullets move at a breakneck pace. Gameplay takes inspiration mechanically from the binding of isaac, but excels in being just. A thematically appropriate system that gives you more options, which is really what these games are all about I think. The tech girl gives you an additional slot for “apps”, or active abilities, the Tech Bro CEO gives you the ability to overspend on an item once (which literally shackles you with debt, a ball and chain around your ankle that slows your movement, but can be used to bash enemies), the marketing lady gives you more cash, and so on and so forth. Co-workers give you quests, and as you complete those quests you get them as mentors, which provide various passive benefits. Mentors are more unique and tie into the ground floor of the company, where you interact with your co-workers and the plot takes place. It also helps with the content treadmill effect, without giving you a bottomless shop or list of achievements to empty out. It’s a nice way to encourage usage of more conditional skills, as you can start with them in an environment where they’re more likely to succeed. ![]() When you hit 100%, you can start with that skill. Keeping only 1 row of items in your inventory keeps the penalties from criminal silhouette fairly tame while still providing a huge power boost.Upgrades take the form of “mentors” and skills, you get skills within the basement in special rooms ala Binding of Isaac, and as you use them more a meter fills up. This should have enough defense and HP to survive around 2 hits so you have room for error having ~100 hp seems to do the trick. You're not immune to stun attacks however, and some enemies will wreck you if you dash into something that stuns.ġ0 greed is good for the gold bonus to help ensure you don't miss food upgrades and extra health to help offset the penalties. The dash invulnerability thanks to 20 swiftness is essential since you're a glass cannon, and chaining dashes back-to-back is both a powerful DPS option with spear weapons and a great panic button. Red pickaxe, Hecate or even a Berdysh/Niflheim's spear are all amazing. It relies on some good item luck unfortunately, but if you can save a godlike weapon with 20 mystic from a prior run you should be set. So far, the best build I've found is the following:įood: primarily to maximize DPS (varies on what good weapons you find but mainly power+attack speed), some defense/HPĪccessories: defense and optionally crit chance if you find dice/hammer ![]()
